4th of July

I'm so excited! Mike and I are heading to Blanding for the 4th of July. It has been five years since we've been there on the 4th and honestly, I can't wait!!!

Finished Product

Madison, my niece brought back lots and lots of fabric when she went to Thailand in anticipation that we would sew this summer. They arrived from Guam with a large tote of fabric!


Madison choose three fabrics and we purchased a the turquoise and very light pink and went to work! We had a great system... I cut and pinned, she sewed. I'm quite proud of her because she sewed for about six hours straight. She completed the front of this quilt, except for the border...

Madison finally said, "You can finish the rest [of the quilt]!" I added the borders, machined quilted it last evening, and then finished the binding this evening. She arrived about 10:30pm to pick it up!
