The Beginning of the End…

One of my projects this summer is to get grass growing on the east side of our home.  (We have patches of grass.)

Monday, Mike tilled the soil where grass isn’t growing.  I still haven’t planted the grass but will so when the wind quits blowing…  I’ve never experienced this much wind in Blanding!

Tyler’s Visit

Tyler, Sarah, Lily, Ivy, and Rose came to Blanding this past weekend.  Marjorie and Suzanne came over on Saturday to visit with them, and we had a BBQ on Saturday evening.   Here are a few pictures of our time together…

Granny meets Rose, her 25th great grandchild.

Lily, in particular, played with these tinker toys for hours!

I just liked this picture of the brothers and Brandon sitting on the front porch, relaxing and talking.

Lily and Ivy, but especially Lily, enjoyed her butterfly/fairy mask.

My Husband is Pleased...

A few months ago, Mike's novel became available as a Kindle and Nook ebook option.  I also signed the novel up for KDP Select, a publishing option available on Amazon.com.  I didn't think too much about it, nor the opportunity to promote his novel for free for five days during a 90 day period.

Last week, I decided to use the free promo and this week, we have been pleasantly surprised.  The free promo garnered over 900 downloads and as of this evening, 25 sales of his novel electronically.  (He'd only sold four copies over nine months electronically before this.)

Needless to say, Mike is please.  He never expected so many people to have access to his novel.  Someday, his next novel will be published.  I'm hoping it happens in 2013.  He works on it daily, among his other responsibilities.
