A Cool Little Tool for Family History

I was directed to this website the other day. It is from the State of Utah and allows you to locate where people are buried within the state. So, if you are looking to find a gravesite of an ancestor, check this tool out!

Can You Believe This???

This sweet sister is in my ward and happened just before our meetings ended (she'd left a little early). I am so MAD, especially because he had a GUN! How dare he threaten one of the sisters of our ward.

Food Storage Analyzer

Emergency Preparedness has a Food Storage Analyzer that you can use to put in your food storage information and figure out how much food storage you have in your home. I put in all the stuff - guessing on amounts - and I would say I guessed conservatively. I ended up with 243 days of food. That is basically 8 MONTHS! I had no idea I could have that much. Now, I admit, it probably won't be very appetizing, but at least it is FOOD!

About the calculator - it is in it's beta form. I focuses on products from Emergeny Preparedness. While I haven't purchased much from them, I have purchased bulk items and it allows for you to put in those bulk items.

The best part, in my opinion, is that there is a grocery store canned goods item where I could enter in those items. We have a lot! Anyway, it helped

So, I admit, one of the reasons I did this post is because I can obtain a $10.00 gift card from Emergency Essentials and then I'll have additional funds to purchase items for our food storage. Yea!!!

Delegation

Delegate - this is what my dad taught me to do. Or, can you be taught to delegate? I'm not really sure. Maybe it comes naturally, ones' talent if you will? I'm not quite sure

Delegate - according to Webster's dictionary - a person acting for another

Last evening was a perfect example. The Foothill 3rd Ward had our Visiting Teaching Training. There were a few things that I wanted for this meeting and then I suggested that our Visiting Teaching leader, Annette, just run with it. I delegated to her.

She put together a fantastic meeting, full of the spirit, inspiration, training, and movivation. I of course, take no credit. A good delegator also makes sure that credit is given when credit is due.

Okay, why am I even posting this... well, because there hasn't been much activity. But I am positive that if I had planned it on my own, this training would have been awful. I can't and don't want to do it all. Sorry, I guess I missed the Women's Lib Era Training Message.

This Post is for my Mom

Dear Mom:

The brown salt and pepper shakers given to me when I graduated high school in 1978 are officially retired from the kitchen table. They are now available for picnic and other outdoor use.

The new shakers are officially 'in use' and on the kitchen table.

Love,

Sidney
